The recent opening of Marina Abramovićs, Private Archaeology, at MONA during Dark Mofo festival was by all accounts, a spiritual night to remember. The art superstar held court for the unveiling of her first Australian exhibition in over 20 years, with photographic, video, object and sound works all present from across her 40-year career. As Abramović fever continues to take a hold over Australian art lovers and novices alike, i-D caught up with Private Archaeologys co-curator, Nicole Durling, to get the scoop on what goes on behind-the-scenes when creating an exhibition of this scope and the joys of flying in a helicopter to visit Marina at home.
